My AR-15 Rifle

Yes, I like guns! I like rifles, pistols, shotguns, you name it, I like em all! This is my latest addition to my slowly growing collection. I have been working on this rifle for about 6 months now, adding accessories here and there and I am finally ready to show it on the site. This rifle fires a .223 caliber round at a very high velocity, and is semi-automatic. This model is a Bushmaster XM15 E2S A3 Carbine which is the civilian equivalent to the military's M-16 rifle with a 16" barrel. I have added a few accessories which feature a 6 position telescopic stock, a handle scope rail for the HAKKO Red Dot Scope, then I also added a flashlight/laser combo mount (I don't have the laser, YET) for my SureFire 6P. This would definitely be considered a tactical rifle at this point, which is what I wanted it to become. I am currently in the market for a tactical case that will hold the rifle with the scope and has 5 or 4 external magazine pouches and a nice sling as well. My last modification/enhancement to this rifle will be a Flash Suppressor. These weapons are lots of fun and are very reliable firearms. They are gas operated rifles and do require a thorough cleaning (takes about approx. 20 minutes with a BoreSnake, pipe cleaners, q-tips and a brush) after a day of firing, which isn't too bad to keep it in excellent condition.

There are several manufacturers of the AR-15:

Bushmaster
Cavalry Arms
Colt
Rock River Arms
Olympic Arms
