50's Diner Style

Yep, we are in the process of turning our dining room into a 50's diner style dining room. We still have some stuff on order on it's way to us and one item on backorder. Right now we have two red restaurant grade booths, a granite pattern laminate table with the chrome look around the edges, 3 diner stools that swivel (with backs, red & chrome), and a red & chrome diner chair for the end of the table that isn't against the wall. We installed a 3' x 4' mirror with a 3/4" beveled edge hung horizontally above the table which adds to the room nicely. Future items include a replica payphone mounted to the wall, a classic "Switch-A-Matic" radio for the table up against the wall, and some nostalgic tin signs such as Coca-Cola, Route 66, Pontiac, and Texaco. We bought a neon clock a couple of years back that adds to this setup as well. Then, we also ordered one of those black marker boards that you see in seafood restaurants with the neon writing, we will put the weekly menu on that.
